29th September - North Dorset - Trevor: This will be a Blue ride of 20 miles all on tarmac and good surface trailway. The roads are very quiet and the route very rural. New coffee stop for most at Todber after 9 miles which does coffee and cake plus a full breakfast including sausage rolls etc. Road bikes will be fine. Toilets available at base and food available on our return. A few hills but predominately flat. This ride is now full.
6th October - Bath - Chris B: This will be a full day Blue ride with a lot of climb along the canal towpath to Bath for coffee/cake – then through Bath and along disused railway to Avon Valley Heritage Railway for snack lunch (pasty or bacon bap) – return towards Bath and take Bath tunnels to Monkton Combe for cake/drink – final part back along canal towpath to Bradford on Avon. Total distance 35+ miles. Road bikes not suitable as first and last sections very rough and wet due to recent rain. Also bike lights needed. Limit of 25 riders
20th October - Wareham - Phil P: This will be a blue ride of 23 miles from Wareham area out to West Holme and back to base on a circular route. The coffee stop is a well known one and I am hoping we make it before they sell out of sausage rolls and quiche. There is only one real hill the rest is pretty flat. Approx 50% is off road but gravel bikes will be ok.

The Pamphill Pedallers routinely meet on Thursday ready for departure at 10.00am and they are ‘open' rides meaning no booking is necessary. They are led and backed up by MCG members. Rules, regulations and guidelines are the same as those for the posted Monday rides especially that all participants ride at their own risk, see Rider Information page on the MCG website.
The group’s priority is the provision of a blue ride each week of approximately 15-20 miles and lasting till around 12.30 including a refreshment stop if possible. If a volunteer has not put their name forward beforehand for the calendar, a decision will be made on the day as to whether there is a suitable leader present to take the ride. The leader will still follow the guidelines as published on the Leader Information page of the MCG website.
Useful information regarding rides often takes place on the Pamphill Pedallers WhatsApp group, please note this is an informal channel and not one published or monitored by the MCG.
Health Cycle Rides: Every Thursday at 10am. These rides are led by trained volunteers from Dorset Council's Health and Activity team. The rides last about an hour. For details see Kingston Lacy Thursday Ride
